Member Rules

Please review these rules and make sure you agree before signing up. See also the general club rules.

Fees

  • Membership fee is £39/month payable in advance.
  • Your keyfob will be automatically disabled if you don't renew your monthly membership.
  • There is no contract - you can cancel at any time (no refunds will be issued for part month memberships)
  • Please don't share your keyfob unless by prior arrangement
  • We reserve the right to terminate your membership at any time

Entry/Exit

  • Make sure you also scan your keyfob on entry (even if you are with another member) so we can track the number of people in the venue.
  • Please be discreet (quiet) when entering and leaving the venue. This is to avoid complaints from the neighbours but also to discourage any passers by from being attracted to the venue and trying to enter.
  • Please try to prevent any tailgaters (people entering without using the keyfob) from coming in to the venue, especially non-members. If you suspect a non-member has tailgated (entered the premises without permission) please let us know immediately on the private chat and we'll contact the police.

Games and Equipment

  • Please do not remove anything from the venue - games or equipment may belong to other members.
  • Please report any missing games (empty boxes) or game pieces as soon as possible.
  • Certain equipment may be borrowed/loaned by arrangement (ask in the private chat)

Guests

  • Only two guests can be signed in at any one time.
  • You can sign more guests in (a large group if required) but please arrange this beforehand using the online booking system (to ensure we don't pass the limit of people in the venue due to insurance purposes).
  • You will be responsible for any guests you bring, please make sure they respect the rules.

Damage

  • Please respect the equipment, the furniture and the venue.
  • Please report any damage to furniture, equipment or the venue itself as soon as you notice it (so we can attempt repairs to prevent further damage). You can report damage using the chat room or via the contact us page on the website.

Printing

  • Fair use policy applies to printing (feel free to print off the occasional ticket or whatever, but please put a donation in the honesty box towards toner/paper if you are planning on doing a lot of printing). The printing page has some cost estimates.
  • Fair use policy applies to 3D printing, the minimal material cost of printing is shown on the latest slicer programs, see the 3D printing page for more details. Same as above, please put a donation in the honesty box towards filament/wear and tear.

Gaming PCs

  • Do not install any of your own software on the PCs (unless it is delivered via one of the already installed platforms, e.g. Steam or Epic or from the disks on the shelves) - ask in the private chat if you'd like something specific to be installed.

Group Bookings

  • Please use the booking software to reserve rooms, preferably at least one day in advance. Let us know the expected numbers.

Food and drink

  • While hot drinks are free for guests and members, please use the honesty box if you or your guests are taking drinks or snacks from the fridges or cupboards.
  • Due to licencing laws we cannot accept money in the honesty box for alcohol for any reason.

Code of Conduct

  • Be considerate, respectful, and collaborative. Refrain from demeaning, discriminatory or harassing behaviour and speech. Be mindful of your surroundings and of your fellow participants. Avoid excess intoxication.
