Projectors

  • See also: TVs.

Main Room

  • Optoma HD141X 1080P Full HD projector (with 100“ pull down projector screen)

This projector is mounted on the ceiling and points to a pull down screen above the TV. The remote control is usually in the remote control shelf in the corner.

There is a soundbar controller that should be set to 'Aux' (not 'Line') for audio. You'll have to turn it on with the red button (top left of the remote control) first. The green button turns on the extra speakers to the left and right of the side bar (which can be detached and moved to the back of the room for example). The volume should be adjusted from both the projector remote and the soundbar remote.

HDMI2 is the firestick (with Jellyfin, Youtube etc). There is a small firestick control in the remote control shelf (not to be confused with the longer firestick control for the main TV). There is a loose HDMI cable from HDMI1 of the projector that is usually plugged into the blue-ray player on the window sill (but it can be unplugged and put into a laptop or the gaming PC for example).

Lounge

  • Optoma HD141X 1080P Full HD projector (with 100” pull down projector screen)

PC Room

  • Optoma HD141X 1080P Full HD projector (with 100“ pull down projector screen)

This projector is mounted on the ceiling. The remote control is usually mounted (magnetically) to the soundbar on the wall. This projector has a bluetooth transmitter plugged into it. To get the audio working you generally have to stand on a ladder to reach it, push the button once on the bluetooth device and then switch bluetooth on on the soundbar, wait for a few seconds until you hear the 'connected' sound. Once it's connected, if there is still no sound, make sure the soundbar doesn't say 'PAUS' on the LED read out, if it does, it's muted, push the 'play/pause' button on the soundbar remote control to unmute.

There is a white HDMI cable (HDMI1) that is usually plugged into the PS3 (or the PC) next to the soundbar.

Spares

  • Projector Optoma tbc (VGA)
  • Optoma DV10 DLP MovieTime Digital DVD Projector (this is a projector with combined speakers and top mounted DVD player - it works but has bad colours, possibly faulty colour wheel/bulb.) It's so faulty it looks kinda cool.
